Kanami Nakabayashi is a freelance dance artist and dance teacher in Austin, TX. Kanami, originally from Tokyo, Japan, started dance at the age of three and her passion for dance led her to train abroad at a ballet school in Canada and at UT Austin. Upon graduation, she freelanced and danced in many performance projects in Japan. Currently, she is back in Austin and has performed with Ventana Ballet, Red Nightfall Dance Theatre, TY&CO, Sea Legs Dance, Early Era Collective and amazing choreographers in town. She is also an adjunct ballet faculty at UT Austin.
